The partnership of the outdoor outfitter with the Hamburg outdoor retailer is set to be phased out at the end of August. Jack Wolfskin announced that Jack Wolfskin stores operated by Globetrotter in Berlin and Cologne, along with the Jack Wolfskin store in Hamburg, are to remain open. The Jack Wolfskin range will also continue to be available on globetrotter.de and in Globetrotter branches.
Jack Wolfskin stated that the company had forged new paths together with Globetrotter 10 years ago. Success with customers had proved them right. As a result, Globetrotter and Jack Wolfskin extended their cooperation into mail order, and later into e-commerce, first in Germany and then in Austria.
„Now we are pressing ahead with our internationalisation, also in e-commerce, and are laying the necessary foundations“, said Michael Rupp, CEO of Jack Wolfskin. This now includes a new e-commerce platform and the realignment of downstream logistics and fulfilment services. Another goal was to raise multichannel potential in conjunction with the franchising network.
”The fact that Jack Wolfskin would like to operate its own online shop and mail order shipping over the course of the intended internationalisation is an absolutely understandable step for us. We wish Jack Wolfskin every success with the implementation“, Globetrotter announced. ”The company also continues to look forward to offering all Globetrotter customers its selection of Jack Wolfskin products“, said Thomas Lipke, Managing Partner of Globetrotter.
