Since 2012, the Paderborn-based firm BBT-Trade has been responsible for European sales of the Turkish fashion label Dogo. Since then, the label has regularly presented its products at the GDS in Düsseldorf. The company plans to present its autumn/winter 2015 collection at the Düsseldorf shoe fair, including “Dogo Paperworks” – shoes and bags made of paper. According to Dogo, the antibacterial paper products are 100% recyclable, waterproof and tear-resistant.
“We want to offer unique designs at the highest quality and best price,” said Ayhan Yalcin, Managing Director of BBT-Trade. “This direction is a huge challenge, especially in the young fashion segment – a challenge we have successfully mastered so far. For instance, we have consistently placed a focus on high-quality imitation leather, cotton and ultrasuede for the production of our styles. In addition, we only use solvent-free dyes for our prints. This process has been certified by TÜV Rheinland. Whether emblazoned with a favourite fairy-tale, town or animal, under the motto “Personalize your life”, each shoe or bag is designed to tell its own story.”
In the long term, Dogo plans to expand its portfolio in Germany based on the Turkish model, adding sweatshirts, T-shirts, watches, lamps and accessories.
