The almost 1.000 sq.m store located on Speersort, near Mönckebergstrasse, has become a showcase for Asics’ sportswear, shoes and accessories. The Managing Director of Asics Germany, Carsten Unbehauen, was joined by HSV handball players, Jogi Bitter, Torsten Jansen and Stefan Schröder, to cut the ribbon at the opening of the new Asics store.
Defining the perfect training plan in the „Running Lab“
The almost 1,000 sq.m store showcases the entire Asics’ athletics range for the German market, including running, handball, volleyball, training and tennis equipment. What’s more, the Mapic award-winning three-pillar store concept also contains a high-tech analysis zone, the „Asics Lab“, where qualified personnel provide customers with a comprehensive diagnosis, together with expert advice, as part of an extra premium service.
This includes a diagnosis of performance with a full check and body function analysis, a running style analysis, which evaluates running motion using three different parameters, and a static and dynamic foot measurement using Asics’ „Foot ID“. Furthermore, with its own running club, the store has become the meeting point for running fans, who can set off on their favourite route through the Hanseatic city straight from the store. The store will also provide its own „transition zone“ with changing rooms, and there will be a weekly meet for runners, too. A total of fifteen specially trained team members will be available to serve and advise customers.
